“We met Anita through the suggestion of our realtor, Sharon Ryan with Remax River City. (check her website) Sharon had recommended Anita due to the results she had gotten by having Anita come to assist sellers to prepare their homes listed for sale. We agreed with Sharon’s suggestion to talk with Anita. The following day we had a call from Anita. She was very personable on the phone and explained how she worked. We then agreed to meet with her at our home. She came out within a couple of days and we discussed how and what she would do. She had her papers all in order, explained very well how she thought she could help us. She listed items we COULD buy if we chose to and what we could use that we already had in our home. We could also rent some items from her at a very minimal cost if we chose. She also gave a complete itemized estimate before we left the house. We headed out shopping on that same day & it was a lot of fun because we don’t usually shop with anyone else. The shopping was not at high end stores but rather at Walmart, Home Sense, etc. & the shopping day was organized from the assessment prior to leaving our house. The stores were reasonably close together. Anita was a great bargain shopper, very organized with the shopping and the time frame. I wondered how she would put these items (purchased, rental as well as our own existing) together to update and depersonalize our home. We had a quick lunch with a summary of what we were doing and then headed back to the acreage with our purchases and her rental items. With some colorful and neutral pillows as well as flowers and vases, & a few pictures correctly placed (some rental and some purchased), then removal of family pictures and personal ornaments & repositioning some of our own items Anita had our newly painted house looking lived in but updated. It was truly amazing. We had decluttered our home prior to meeting Anita but we had not depersonalized it. Anyone who saw our home now could quickly envision their belongings in our house to make it their home. She truly has a great eye for decorating and she budgets both time and costs extremely well. She is positive, personal, listens well and does not insist you change or do something you are not comfortable with, while at the same time she can help you understand why she is making the suggestions. She has a fantastic eye in decorating.
