“The planet Earth, affectionately dubbed ‘mother,’ hosts all living beings, including humans. Yet, amid the hustle and bustle of modern life, we often become disconnected from our natural roots. In this fast-paced journey, we lose sight of our focus, responsibilities, and respect for nature—essential elements intertwined with our existence. Our mission, expressed through our artwork, is to bridge this gap and convey the profound connection between Mother Nature and humanity.”
For millennia, artists worldwide have drawn inspiration from the boundless beauty of Mother Nature. Even in contemporary times, artwork-portraying nature continues to captivate audiences universally. As an artist myself, trained through the Grande Prairie Regional College arts program, I harboured a fervent desire to manifest my creative visions. However, like many others, I temporarily set aside my art to navigate life’s fast-paced highway.
Entering the whirlwind of life, I became a superhuman, single-handedly raising four vibrant children while simultaneously spearheading community initiatives and managing three bustling companies for over four decades. What a journey it has been!
Interestingly, it was only recently that I recognized how deeply ingrained my artistic expression of nature was in every facet of my endeavours. Integrating creative depictions of nature into my business ventures not only contributed to my personal success but also left an indelible mark on the communities I served. With a sense of humble pride, I earned the respect of both my peers and my community—a privilege I hold dear.

Nature has always grounded me. As an Artist, working with floral, branches, berries, leaves, and other unique finds from the forest during my nature walks has nourished my soul. Most recently designing with natural moss has motivated me to pursue my passion in retirement.
Now, as I embrace a slower pace, I am determined to nurture my passion for a new style of artwork, using it as a conduit to raise awareness within our communities about the importance of cherishing Mother Nature and, consequently, ourselves. While we all aspire to possess a healthy body, mind, and soul, it is our intrinsic connection to nature that forms the cornerstone of our future and community well-being.
We envision creating artwork that seamlessly blends natural materials sourced from our forests with innovative technologies—such as sound, light, and texture—to convey a poignant message about the interconnectedness of humans and nature. It is our fervent hope that through these creations, we can reignite a sense of reverence for our planet and inspire collective action towards its preservation.”

My name is Sharlene Harasimiuk-born and raised in Alberta, the country has always been my inspiration. As a professional Social Worker, a proud mother of 3, my husband and I raised our family surrounded by nature.
Working with the public has been a challenging yet rewarding journey requiring me to find an outlet to nurture my inner self. Creating art has been my outlet. Retirement has been a welcome transition in life allowing me to pursue more projects that continue to connect my creativity with Mother Nature.
